The Story of Chumlee from Pawn Stars
Chumlee (Austin Russell) who rose to fame on the 2009 TV Show called Pawn Stars from the History Channel as the fun loving comedic relief. The majority of time he behaved the most irresponsibly and childlike on the show compared to his other counterparts but he could often lend his expertise to areas that other cast members were clueless about, like Pokémon Cards.
After a long few years in the limelight he was feeling kind of burned out and as a result seemed to have turned to drugs that contributed to a downward spiral into which he spun. It seems he was also dealing drugs at the time his house was raided in relation to sexual assault being investigated by police in 2016. The cops found a whole bunch of Marijuana which is now legal in Las Vegas, Meth, Xanax, and illegal Firearms. Apparently the person responsible for the corresponding raid of his residence to secure clothing was an employee of the Pawn Stars Shop but her name was not released. After it was all said and done it seemed like all he was charged was with about 20 drug and weapons related charges, which he eventually plead guilty to and avoided jail time in 2016. His probation official ended in 2019 and he never seemed to be charged in regard to the Sexual Assault allegations.
He is still on the show to this day and has proved his staying power in the industry is far stronger than some Drug and Weapons charges can undue. However he can rest assured that if he is ever caught up in sexual assault allegations again he would probably have to kiss his career goodbye especially in this me too era.
Currently he is enjoying a much more fruitful life in which he has lost well over 100 pounds after he had a gastric sleeve surgery in inserted into his stomach in 2018. He also seemed to find love with a beautiful woman of Asian decent and was recently married in 2019.
Although they have yet to make the official there have been rumors the couple had split up in 2020 due scheduling issues when Chumlee deleted all their pictures from his Instagram. It is said that he splits his time between the famous pawn shop and his candy store across the street which he opened a few years back.
