Shock G – RIP – 4/22/21
Born in New York City, Gregory Edward Jacobs, better known as Shock G, passed away on 4/22/21 at the age of 57. He was also known for his alter ego Humpty Hump, his his name and oozed sex appeal and his provocative lyrics did not disappoint. They had a well known hit called The Humpty Dance and were responsible for helping launch 2Pacs career by lending his feature to 2Pacs 1st major hit I Get Around. From that point on it was history, 2Pac & Biggie blew up and so did the east & west coast feud, which eventually contributed to the downfall of the Greatest Rapper of all time.
RIP to my man Shock G, with out you we may not have gotten to have 2Pac. Shock G is responsible for far more than that however in my eyes that was his greatest accomplishment, would probably be anyone’s greatest accomplishment. To set up the best of all time for beginning career success, ultimately propelling him into the stratosphere of super stardom! Shock G’s music and stage performances were full of life and they were highlighted by his funky goofy demeanor.
