The United States Stole Hawaii
The USA Stole Hawaii on 1/17/1893
A not very well known and maybe not even taught much in the USA is the fact that the USA basically stole Hawaii from the Natives. I know big shocker, however I had no idea they did it Hawaii, ever since I was a kid it was always sunshine and rainbows about that place. It was the location of my parents honeymoon, I grew up looking at an amazing photo of an Hawaii Beach only thinking good thoughts about this place. Well as it turns out I was wrong, Hawaii has a much darker secret and history that isn’t talked about very often. Now this is with very good reason because the USA did something that it would repeat over and over even to this day in the World. They found something they wanted in Hawaii, Sugar Cane, and proceeded to try to take it.
Polynesian Voyagers were the 1st to Settle the Kingdom of Hawaii and install a Hawaiian Monarchy and they were ruled by Queen Liliuokalani. There is much confusion in the professional historian world to where Polynesian’s came from. There are many theories but apparently the one that is the more agreed upon is they originated from Taiwan, parts of Papua New Guinea, and Southeast Asia. Another intriguing area of study is the genetic connection between Polynesians and South Americans. So it goes to say that they don’t really know where they came from but they were on the Hawaiian Islands long before the Americans were, approximately 400-500 AD its said. So they ruled the land long before the Americans had interest in the land.
The 1st Americans to go to Hawaii went there to try and exploit the Island’s sandalwood resource, which at the time was highly valued in China. The Americans hoped to cheaply gain access to the Sandalwood to resell it in China for a much higher price. In the 1830’s the Sugar industry was introduced to Hawaii and the Americans quickly figured out that the weather, temperature, and environment in Hawaii was perfectly suited to growing sugar. American Missionaries and Planters brought about much change over the years in Hawaii, they amassed a large amount of Power that it would eventually try to wield against the country and rulers themselves. Unfortunately by the time the Hawaiian monarchy released what had happened then it was already too late, the American had garnish a tremendous amount of power and resources. Eventually the initial greedy individuals that settled there were no longer satisfied with making money hand over fist. After gaining vast amounts of riches they were no longer ok with splitting these riches with the Hawaiian locals and wanted it all for themselves. During this time is when the Dole food company was started using the money from the Sugar to gain political power.
